Good News and Bad News...
Good News:
Because of one student in our class, we are probably in the lead with AR points.
Bad News:
Less than half of our students are contributing to our AR class total of 283.1 points. Pretty sad... actually pretty embarassing if you are one of the eleven students that has zero points.
The top three contributors have received the following points:
First Place: 159.4
Second Place: 51.7
Third Place: 41.6
Ask your child how many points they have?
Students are required to check out AR books from the library each Friday when we go. Almost all books are AR books from your home library, our classroom library, the school library, and the public library. Just a reminder: Students should be reading at least 30 minutes a night.
In order to increase our AR points, we will be setting individual goals each month. I will be assigning AR teams in the near future. The AR program is a wonderful program to help our reading comprehension.
