2009 RED RIBBON WEEK - Plant the Promise

During Red Ribbon Week, October 26 thru October 30, 2009, our students with the guidance of the local Garden Club will plant red tulips, donated by Ann LeTulle (Gary Greene Realtors) in front of the school building. The red tulip project serves not only as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs and violence but also to plant the promise of a DRUG-FREE AMERICA.

Below is a schedule of events for next week and what students can wear each day:

Monday, October 26, 2009 - RED RIBBON PLEDGE DAY
“I Pledge to Be Drug Free” This commitment will be said
by the entire school during morning announcements.
Let’s shade out drugs by wearing sunshades on Monday.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 - TEAM UP AGAINST DRUG AND VIOLENCE
Wear you favorite team’s sport shirt.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 -
RED RALLY DAY as we rally together to keep QVE Drug Free
Everyone is encouraged to wear red – red socks, red shoes, red hat, and red shirt. In keeping with the theme, our students with the assistance of Lane Pearson and the local Garden Club will be planting red tulip bulbs that were donated by Ann LeTulle with Gary Greene Realtors.

Thursday, October 29, 2009 - Sock it to Drugs
Wear Crazy Socks.
